Our commitments

Le Pré Catelan opens a new chapter in its history with a strong commitment: to embrace the future through a shared project focused on celebrating the good, the right, and the beautiful.

The sustainable transformation of Le Pré Catelan

The architectural and landscape project for Le Pré Catelan, envisioned by Thibault Malgouyres of GMV architects and Gabriel Rochard of Atelier Gabriel, aims to enhance this unique heritage. To achieve the ambitious goal of reducing Le Pré Catelan’s carbon footprint by 40%, the architects undertook the renovation using sustainable solutions that comply with Paris’s Climate Air Energy objectives, while selecting biosourced or reclaimed materials. These strong commitments have earned Le Pré Catelan ISO 20121 and ISO 14001 certifications.

The new Le Pré Catelan is now an open and inclusive space, accessible to all. It includes two new buildings, the Ferme du Pré and the Clos du Pré, which have a charming and relaxed rural appeal, extending from the interior to the exterior and engaging with the surrounding landscape.

The ambition also extended to preserving nature at Le Pré Catelan. The plant palette was designed in accordance with the Biodiversity Plan to support local flora, creating optimal interaction with the site’s fauna and providing food resources throughout the year. Integration with the Bois de Boulogne was reimagined, notably with the addition of vegetated walkways linking the garden and woods, using local shrubs with natural silhouettes.

Special attention was given to the outdoor spaces to create a harmonious dialogue between the different landscape units of the site: Le Pré Catelan, the Jardin du Pré Catelan, and the Bois de Boulogne. These transformations enable Le Pré Catelan to offer its visitors a park enriched with 2,500 shrubs, 80 square meters of vegetable garden, and an orchard, making this space a true natural haven in the heart of Paris.

Gastronomic Excellence and Responsibility

Le Pré Catelan was already an exceptional venue on the international gastronomic scene, bringing together in one place a Michelin three-starred restaurant and 12 reception salons enhanced by the talent of the Lenôtre teams. This uniqueness is further reinforced by an innovative gastronomic offering, reimagined with a focus on diversity. The new entry points — La Ferme du Pré, Le Clos du Pré, and C’est Pré — provide more bucolic and convivial experiences, ideal for family or friend gatherings within Le Pré Catelan or during strolls in the gardens.

Each of these destinations highlights simple, locavore cuisine, crafted from seasonal products, from farm to table. Le Pré Catelan prioritizes ethical and responsible sourcing by developing sustainable supply chains with its suppliers, thus ensuring transparency and traceability.

A New Era of Emotions and Experiences

The renewal of Le Pré Catelan is the result of a journey that began several months ago, driven by the team at Le Pré Catelan and the Lenôtre house as a whole. This project, infused with ambition and innovative ideas, aims to make Le Pré Catelan a destination for emotions, a unique ecosystem blending nature and gastronomy. It is an unparalleled place where every moment resonates with a special aura, thanks to the expertise of the Le Pré Catelan teams, united by a common goal: the complete satisfaction of our clients.
